In Liberty Media's plans - night race in Las Vegas
New owners of Formula 1 always told us that they re thinking of making more GPs across the Atlantic Ocean. As ''Liberty Media'' representative told, one of the places that could hold a GP is Las Vegas.
''Night race in Las Vegas - I like this idea very much.'', - general manager of ''Liberty Media'', Greg Maffei.
Head of Formula 1 - Bernie Ecclestone also likes the idea to host a GP in Las Vegas.
G. Maffei hopes that in the future, F1 calendar will have more than 21 races.
''Of course, there is a deadline for everything, but we are hoping that the number of races will increase in the future. Longer calendar would benefit not just us. FIA would earn more money, team would get bigger payouts and we would profit more. New race organisators are willing to pay more.''
This season's calendar had 21 race in it, but it is possible that in 2017 we will see just 19 races, because it is not clear if F1 race will be held at Germany and Brazil.
